Sparx Notary Services

"the spark - I come to you"

At Sparx Notary Services, I am committed to providing reliable and convenient mobile notary services throughout Bell, Williamson, and Travis Counties. In the interest of transparency, this page explains the distinction between state-regulated notarial fees and separately-charged mobile travel and convenience fees.

My goal is to ensure every client clearly understands the fee structure prior to scheduling an appointment.

Fee Structure Overview

1️⃣ State-Regulated Notarial Fees

The State of Texas establishes the maximum fees a commissioned Notary Public may charge per notarial act (including acknowledgments, jurats, and oaths). These statutory notarial fees are regulated by Texas law and are separate from any travel or convenience fees.

Sparx Notary Services adheres strictly to the maximum allowable fee schedule set by the State of Texas.

2️⃣ Mobile Travel & Convenience Fees

Because Sparx Notary Services travels to your location, a separate mobile travel and convenience fee is assessed in addition to the state-regulated notarial fee.

This fee compensates for:

  • Travel distance

  • Time and scheduling

  • Mileage and fuel

  • On-site service convenience

Travel and convenience fees are not regulated by the State of Texas and are privately agreed upon between the client and Sparx Notary Services prior to confirmation of the appointment.

You will be informed of the travel and convenience fee in advance so that all charges are clear before services are rendered.

Service Area

Mobile notary services are available within:

  • Bell County

  • Williamson County

  • Travis County

Service beyond these areas may be available upon request.

Example of a Typical Invoice

A standard mobile notary service visit may include:

  • State-regulated notarial fees (per signature)

  • Mobile travel and convenience fee (agreed upon in advance)

  • Optional service fees, if applicable (such as printing, document handling, waiting time, or restricted-access locations)

All applicable fees will be disclosed prior to the appointment.

Commitment to Transparency

Sparx Notary Services is committed to maintaining clear, professional, and ethical fee practices. Please feel free to ask for clarification regarding fee structure or billing.

Disclaimers

  • Travel and convenience fees are separate from state-regulated notarial fees.

  • Notarial fees will not exceed the maximum amounts permitted under Texas law.

  • Travel and convenience fees are privately agreed upon and are not regulated by the State of Texas.

  • Fees may vary depending on distance, scheduling, access requirements, parking, document type, and service needs.

  • If a notarization appointment cannot be completed due to identification issues, document deficiencies, or signer unavailability, the travel and convenience fee remains due.

State-regulated notarial fees are billed separately per notarized signature.
