Things to know...before you schedule an appointment.

Sparx Notary Service a Texas Notary Public – Terms & Conditions

By requesting notary services, you agree to the following:

1. Scope of Notary Services
The Notary Public is authorized to verify identity, witness signatures, administer oaths, and perform notarial acts permitted under Texas law. The notary does not prepare documents, verify their accuracy, or provide legal advice.

You must know which Notary Certificate you need.

Original documents must be presented for all Copy Certifications. Vital records (birth, death, and marriage) cannot be notarized.

2. No Legal Advice
The notary is not an attorney and may not explain or advise on the legal effect of any document. If you have questions about how to complete the document, contact the person who drafted or requested the document.

3. Signer Requirements
All signers must:

• Appear in person (or via approved Texas RON platform). Every signer must physically appear.

• Present valid, government-issued photo identification

• Be willing, aware, and acting without coercion

• Have documents complete and ready for notarization

• Completely fill in blank spaces in documents before the Notary arrives, but DO NOT SIGN!

4. Fees & Payment
Notarial fees are charged in accordance with Texas law. Additional fees may apply for mobile travel, printing, wait time, after-hours service, or remote notarization. Payment is due at the time of service.

5. Cancellations & No-Shows
Refund Policy

By scheduling an appointment, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions regarding cancellations and refunds.

1. Non-Refundable Cancellations

Cancellations made less than four (4) hours prior to the scheduled appointment time, or failure to attend the appointment (“no-show”), are non-refundable.

2. Cancellations With 4 to 24 Hours’ Notice

Cancellations made more than four (4) hours but less than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a refund, less a non-refundable administrative fee of thirty-five dollars ($35).

3. Cancellations With More Than 24 Hours’ Notice

Cancellations made twenty-four (24) hours or more prior to the scheduled appointment time are eligible for a refund, less a non-refundable administrative fee of twenty-five dollars ($25).

4. Additional Terms

Sparx Notary Service reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without prior notice. Where applicable, all refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within a reasonable timeframe following cancellation confirmation.

By completing a booking, the client affirms understanding and acceptance of the above terms.

6. Refusal of Service
The notary reserves the right to refuse service if:

• Identification is insufficient

• The signer appears confused, coerced, or unwilling

• The document is incomplete or unlawful

• The request violates Texas notary law

7. Limitation of Liability
The notary is not responsible for the content, legality, or outcome of notarized documents. Liability, if any, is limited to the extent allowed under Texas law.

8. Privacy & Records
Information may be recorded in a notary journal as required by Texas law. Client information is kept confidential.

9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
